Balance Me – Raffia Basket Bag

Aromatherapy-inspired with clinically proven, naturally active botanical formulations, Balance Me’s award-winning British-made skincare is designed to bring skin back into balance, enhance skin’s natural beauty, inspire wellbeing and deliver results naturally.

Founded in 2005 by British sisters Rebecca and Clare Hopkins the brand is available to purchase nationwide in the UK via the Balance Me website, John Lewis, Marks & Spencer, Waitrose, Wholefoods, Ocado, LookFantastic, FeelUnique and many more.

Maxipos and Balance Me have been working together since 2016, developing packaging concepts and Gift With Purchase promotions.

One of the more challenging projects we have completed is a French Basket Bag used as a Gift With Purchase item. Balance Me wanted a premium, but naturally-made bag, that reflected their brand values for a summer promotion. Based on these requirements, we found a supplier who specialised in the manufacture of baskets using sustainable, natural products and by-products.

They worked with skilled artisans who hand-made each basket, thereby producing a unique item that could be cherished for years. The bag’s main body was made using palm leaves and to add a quality touch, real leather was used for the handles. To maintain the natural look and feel, the artisans added a woven “Balance” logo to the sides of the baskets. With a separate supplier, we sourced a bespoke, branded internal label which was sewn to the inside of each basket. 500 units were produced and the baskets proved to be a great success for Balance Me.
